The photos below show the waste tank connection for the SOG Type D kit for all Thetford C400 toilets. It is necessary to bore holes in the cassette housing but not in the cassette (waste holding tank) itself - as venting is carried out via the existing pressure control valve under the cassette. Full instructions are provided.

Air is drawn from the toilet by the ventilation fan to the outside via an outlet vent which contains a charcoal filter to remove smells. The vent is mounted on the cassette door.
