Most HEOSafe cab door locks can be intstalled even when the vehicle cab door has been fitted with window blinds, for example blinds from Remis or Dometic.

In these cases the locks are supplied with a cutting template as a guide for the small trim which needs to be made to a corner of the blind if it obstructs the standard fitting location for the lock.

The photos below show the process.

When there is not a blind the lock locates directly into the vehicle's fitting point

In this case there is a Remis window blind which needs to be trimmed to shape around the top corner of the lock

The paper template supplied with the locks is cut out and taped in place, using the marked points. Then a small cutting tool such as a Dremel is used to remove a section of the thin blind panel. Smooth afterwards for a neat finish.

Standard Remis or Dometic blinds in place before locks are fitted to the lower corners.
